Nigerian women and children abducted by Boko Haram in Dec. 2014 have been reunited with their families a month after they were released into a rehab camp.
The group of 62 married women and 96 children, some as young as 6mths old, were kidnapped from Kartarko village in Yobe State.
One, Haja Ganna, spoke to the BBC: ‘We told our captors that we couldn’t worship as they required us to. They said eventually they would take us back, but would come for us again one day”.
Some of the women said they had not been mistreated, despite their fears.
